Morning Dua for Connection with the Quran

Translation

O Allah, make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sadness, and the reliever of my worries.

Significance

This beautiful dua (from Musnad Ahmad) is asking Allah to transform your relationship with the Quran.
"Spring of the heart" means the Quran brings life to your dead heart the way spring brings life to dead earth.
"Light of the chest" means it illuminates your inner darkness and gives you clarity. "Remover of sadness" and "reliever of worries" means the Quran becomes your therapy, your healing, your comfort.
In these last ten nights, you need this connection. The Quran isn't just words to reciteโ€”it's medicine for your soul. Ask Allah to make it come alive for you.

02

Dua for Deep Understanding

Translation

O Allah, open for me the openings of those who truly know You.

Significance

This concise dua is asking Allah for spiritual insightโ€”the kind that transforms how you see everything.
"The openings of those who truly know" refers to the deep understanding that the awliya (close friends of Allah) haveโ€”where they see His wisdom in everything, where their hearts are connected to Him constantly.
In these last ten nights, don't just read the Quran mechanically. Ask Allah to open your understanding so every verse penetrates your heart.

03

Ramadan Day 22 Special Dua

Translation

O Allah, on this day, open for me the doors of Your bounty, send down upon me Your blessings, grant me success in doing what earns Your pleasure, and settle me in the highest levels of Your Paradise, O Responder to the call of the desperate.

Significance

This is a dua of total spiritual ambition. You're asking for Allah's doors to swing wide openโ€”doors of provision, mercy, guidance, opportunities.
You're asking for His blessings to rain down on you. You're asking for success in pleasing Him. And you're asking for the highest levels of Jannahโ€”not just entry, but the best of Paradise.
And you're calling on Allah by the name Mujeeb Da'watil Mudtarreenโ€”the One who answers the call of the desperate, the broken, the one who has nowhere else to turn.
That's the state you should be in during these nights. Desperate for His mercy. Clinging to His door. Refusing to leave until He answers.

02) What to Read: Continuing Through Juz 7 and Into Juz 8

Finish Juz 7 and begin Juz 8, continuing through Surah Al-An'am and moving into Surah Al-A'raf.

Surah Al-A'raf is another powerful Makkan surah that tells the stories of multiple prophets—Adam, Nuh, Hud, Salih, Lut, Shu'ayb, and Musa (peace be upon them all).

Each story carries lessons about faith, patience, and trusting Allah even when everything seems impossible.

When you read the story of Musa (ุนู„ูŠู‡ ุงู„ุณู„ุงู…) standing at the Red Sea with Pharaoh's army behind him and the ocean in front of him, notice what he says: "Never! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me" (26:62, similar theme in Al-A'raf).

He didn't panic. He didn't give up.

He had absolute certainty that Allah would save him.

Ask yourself: do I have that level of trust in Allah?

When life corners me, do I panic or do I say, "Allah is with me"?

03) Your Specific Task: The "One Juz Challenge"

Tonight and every night for the rest of Ramadan, aim to complete at least one full Juz (30 pages) of the Quran.

Your Task:

That's 30 pages = 1 Juz per night.

If you do this for the remaining 9 nights, you'll have read 9 Juz.

If you've been reading consistently since Day 1, you'll finish the entire Quran by the end of Ramadan.

Why?

The Prophet ๏ทบ said, "Fasting and the Quran will intercede for the servant on the Day of Judgment" (Musnad Ahmad).

Imagine on Judgment Day:

And together they ask Allah to grant you Jannah.

That's the power of combining fasting with Quran—especially in the last ten nights.

But it's not just about quantity. It's about quality.

How to read with quality:

  1. Read slowly. Don't race through the pages. Pronounce every letter carefully.
  2. Pause at meaningful verses. When a verse hits you, stop. Reflect. Let it sink in.
  3. Make dua based on what you read. If you read about Jannah, ask for it. If you read about Jahannam, seek refuge from it.
  4. Read with emotion. The Quran should move you. If you're not feeling anything, you're reading too fast or too mechanically.

Tip: When you feel proud or better than others, remember that how fasting weakens the ego helps us become more humble before Allah.

A Little Brotherly/Sisterly Advice for Day 22

Let me tell you something about the Quran that most people miss: it's alive.

The Quran isn't just a book.

It's not just words on a page. It's the actual speech of Allah—the Creator of the universe—speaking directly to you.

Think about that.

The same God who created the galaxies, the oceans, the mountains, the sun and the stars—He spoke these words.

And He preserved them for over 1,400 years so they could reach you.

Right here. Right now.

When you open the Quran, you're not just reading history. You're having a conversation with Allah.

He's speaking to you. Personally.

When you read, "O you who have believed," He's talking to YOU.

When you read, "Do not despair of the mercy of Allah," He's comforting YOU.

When you read, "Indeed, with hardship comes ease," He's reassuring YOU.

But here's the problem: most people read the Quran like they're reading a textbook. Detached. Distracted.

Just trying to get through the pages.

And they wonder why they don't feel anything.

You want to know the secret to connecting with the Quran?

Read it like Allah is speaking to you.

Because He is.

Imagine you received a personal letter from the King of all Kings. Would you skim through it? Would you rush past the words? Would you read it while scrolling on your phone?

No. You'd read every word carefully. You'd absorb every sentence. You'd treasure every line.

That's how you should read the Quran.

So tonight, when you sit down to read, change your approach.

And when a verse speaks to your heart—when it makes you pause, when it gives you chills, when it brings tears to your eyes—stop.

Don't keep going. Stay with that verse. Repeat it.

Because that's the moment Allah is speaking directly to your soul.

Don't rush past it.

Note: If you want, you can check out the day 21 where we discussed on a different things.

See you tomorrow for Day 23—the night many scholars believe is the strongest candidate for Laylatul Qadr.

This could be THE night. Get ready.
