Read These In The Morning: After Fajr
First read Aytul Kursi for once and then read the following dua:

Translation
We have entered a new day and with it all dominion belongs to Allah. Praise is to Allah. There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion, to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over everything. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this day and the good that follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil that follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the evil of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave.
Significance
Nine days in, you might be experiencing the "mid-Ramadan slump." The initial excitement is gone, and the finish line still feels far away. This dua is your anchor. You're asking Allah to give you the best of today and tomorrowโnot just in this world, but in the Hereafter. You're seeking refuge from laziness because that's exactly what threatens you right now. Say it with conviction.

Translation
O Allah, on this day, grant me a share of Your vast mercy, guide me to Your shining proofs, and take me by the forelock to Your complete pleasure, by Your love, O Hope of those who long for You.
Significance
This dua is asking Allah for three beautiful things.
First, you're asking for a portion of His vast mercyโand Allah's mercy is infinite, so even a small portion is more than enough to transform your life.
Second, you're asking Him to guide you to His clear proofsโmeaning the signs, the knowledge, the understanding that leads to certainty in faith.
Third, you're asking Allah to literally take you by the forelock (a phrase meaning complete control) and lead you to what pleases Him. You're saying, "Ya Allah, I can't do this alone. Take my hand and pull me toward Your pleasure."
That level of humility and dependence is what opens the gates of divine assistance.
What to Read: Deep Into Juz 3
Today's Goal: Continue reading Juz 3, focusing on the end of Surah Al-Baqarah and the beginning of Surah Aal-e-Imran.
The last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah (2:285-286) are some of the most powerful in the entire Quran.
They speak about belief, accountability, and Allah's mercy.
Then Surah Aal-e-Imran begins with the oneness of Allah and the truth of the Quran.
When you read, "Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear" (2:286), pause and absorb that.
Whatever you're going through right now—whatever struggle, whatever pain, whatever challenge—Allah knows you can handle it.
He wouldn't have given it to you if you couldn't. Trust His wisdom. Trust His plan.
Your Specific Task: The "Day of Silence" Challenge
Today's task is about one of the most underrated forms of worship—controlling your tongue.
Your Task: For the entire day, speak only when absolutely necessary.
Avoid:
- Gossip
- Complaining
- Arguing
- Unnecessary small talk
- Negative comments about anyone or anything
Instead, replace idle speech with:
- Dhikr (remembrance of Allah)
- Reading Quran
- Making dua
- Listening more than talking
Why?
The Prophet ๏ทบ said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent."
And he also said, "Whoever can guarantee me what is between his jaws and what is between his legs, I will guarantee him Paradise."
Your tongue is either your ticket to Jannah or your ticket to Jahannam.
There's no in-between.
The scholars say that most people's Hasanat (good deeds) on the Day of Judgment will be eaten up by the sins of their tongue.
One backbiting session. One insult. One lie. And years of Salah, fasting, and charity could be wiped out.
So today, guard your tongue like it's the most valuable thing you own—because it is.
The "Golden Hour" (The 15 Minutes Before Iftar)
This is your daily appointment with the King of Kings.
Show up with your heart open.
Your Day 9 Dua List:
- Ask Allah to forgive you for every word you've spoken that hurt someone, spread negativity, or wasted time.
- Pray for Allah to purify your speech—that you only speak words that bring benefit, healing, and goodness.
- Ask Him to protect you from backbiting, lying, and all sins of the tongue.
- Make dua for someone you may have hurt with your words—ask Allah to heal their heart and forgive you.
And make a personal dua.
Something only you and Allah know about. He's waiting to hear it.
A Little Brotherly/Sisterly Advice for Day 9
When you learn to control your tongue, you gain control over your life.
Think about it.
How many times have you said something you regretted? How many times have you hurt someone because you spoke without thinking?
How many times have you wasted hours talking about things that don't matter?
The tongue is small, but its impact is massive.
The Prophet ๏ทบ gave us a simple formula: Speak good or stay silent.
Not "speak your mind." Not "speak your truth." Not "say what you feel."
Speak good—or say nothing at all.
Imagine if you lived by that principle. How much cleaner would your heart be? How much lighter would your soul feel? How many relationships would you protect?
Today, try it.
Just for one day, be intentional with every word. Before you speak, ask yourself:
- Is this necessary?
- Is this kind?
- Is this beneficial?
- Will this please Allah?
If the answer is no, close your mouth. Make Dhikr instead. Read Quran instead. Make dua instead.
And watch how much peace you feel by the end of the day.

Did you start guarding your tongue today? It's not too late. From this moment forward, every word is a choice. Choose wisely.
See you tomorrow for Day 10, where we'll close out the first third of Ramadan and reflect on the journey so far.
