01

Ayat al-Kursi

Translation

"Allah! There is no god but He, the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory)."

Significance

Reciting this in the morning creates a spiritual bariar throughout the day and you get protection from all kinds of evil harm.

02

Morning Dua

Translation

"We have entered a new day and with it all dominion belongs to Allah. Praise is to Allah. There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion, to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over everything. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this day and the good that follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil that follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the evil of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave."

Significance

Five days in, complacency can creep in. You might think, "I've got this routine down."
But that's when you need this dua the most. You're reminding yourself that today—and every day—belongs to Allah.
You're asking for His guidance fresh, like it's Day 1 all over again. Never let familiarity breed carelessness.

03

Ramadan Day 5 Special Dua

Translation

"O Allah, on this day, make me among those who seek forgiveness, make me among Your righteous and obedient servants, and make me among Your close friends, by Your compassion, O Most Merciful of the merciful."

Significance

This dua is asking Allah for three things that define a successful believer.
First, you're asking to be among those who constantly seek forgiveness—because no matter how good you think you're doing, you still need Allah's mercy.
Second, you're asking to be among the righteous and obedient—not just someone who worships when it's easy, but someone who stays consistent.
Third, you're asking to be among His close friends, His awliya—the ones He loves, protects, and elevates. This is a dua of ambition.
You're not asking for the bare minimum. You're asking for closeness to Allah.
Aim high.

What to Read: Deep Into Juz 2

Today's Goal: Continue reading Juz 2, focusing on the verses about spending in the way of Allah (around Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261-274).

These verses talk about charity, spending, and how Allah multiplies the reward of those who give.

One grain becomes seven hundred.

One act of generosity becomes an entire garden of rewards.

Allah doesn't just repay—He multiplies.

When you reach the verse, "Those who spend their wealth by night and day, secretly and openly" (2:274), think about your own giving.

Are you generous only when people are watching? Or do you give even when no one knows?

Secret charity is one of the seven categories of people who will be shaded under Allah's Throne on the Day of Judgment.

Remember that!

Your Specific Task In Day 5

Today's task is about protecting one of the most powerful gates to your heart—your eyes.

Your Task: Every single time you're about to look at something you shouldn't (whether it's online, on the street, or even in your thoughts), lower your gaze immediately and say:

"Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs."

Why?

Because your eyes are the windows to your soul.

What you feed them determines the state of your heart.

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The gaze is a poisoned arrow from the arrows of Shaytan. Whoever lowers his gaze for the sake of Allah, He will replace it with a sweetness that he finds in his heart."

So want that sweetness? Protect your gaze today.

Every. Single. Time.

And here's the bonus: when you lower your gaze for Allah, He raises your status with Him. That's a trade you'll never regret.

The "Golden Hour" (The 15 Minutes Before Iftar)

This is your private meeting with Allah.

Make it count.

Your Day 5 Dua List:

And don't forget—make a dua for something you've been too shy to ask for.

Allah loves when you ask Him for everything, even the small things.

He's waiting to hear from you.

A Little Brotherly/Sisterly Advice for Day 5

Let me be real with you for a second.

Ramadan is meant to reset you. But if you're still consuming the same content, scrolling through the same apps, watching the same shows, and falling into the same habits—what exactly is resetting?

Fasting isn't just about your stomach.

It's about your eyes, your ears, your hands, your heart.

If you're fasting from food but feasting on Netflix, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok all day, you're missing the point.

I'm not saying delete everything and live in a cave. I'm saying be intentional.

Protect your time. Protect your attention. Protect your heart.

Because the stronger your focus in Ramadan, the stronger your Iman will be when Ramadan ends.

Don't let Shaytan come back in Shawwal and find you in the exact same place he left you in Sha'ban.

Use these days to build a fortress around your soul. And one of the strongest walls in that fortress? Guarding your gaze.

You can see guide for Day 4 of Ramadan from here that we previously wrote.

Did you lower your gaze today? If not, start now. It's never too late to obey Allah.

See you tomorrow for Day 6, where we'll talk about the power of Sadaqah and giving without limits.

You're halfway through the first third of Ramadan. Keep your momentum strong. 🤍
